What is CBD?
CBD (short for cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring chemical compound and one of many cannabinoids found in and extracted from the cannabis plant, and in our case Hemp. It accounts for around 40% of the plants extract

Everyone has their own endocannabinoid system that’s in charge of regulating the body and maintaining homeostasis.

How and why do we use MCT oil?
There are two main reasons for using MCT oil as a base oil in a CBD product
- The main reason being the improved bioavailability (enables your body to better more readily absorb the CBD)
- MCT Oil provides a longer shelf life

The World Health Organisation’s 2018 Critical Review Report on CBD states that CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile.
Is CBD a medicine?
The most widely available CBD is sold as a food supplement, and no medicinal claims are permitted on these products, as with any other food supplement. CBD food supplements should not be confused with medicinal CBD products for conditions such as epilepsy, which are not available for general sale.
